Mark, Ogbeha Celebrate IBB at 85, Hail His Contributions to Nigeria

Former Senate President and National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, and former Senator Tunde Ogbeha have felicitated former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), on his 85th birthday.

In separate goodwill messages to mark the milestone, the two former senators described Babangida as a great nationalist whose years of service and contributions to Nigeria’s development remain significant.

Mark said Babangida’s years in the service of the nation represented an important chapter in Nigeria’s history, adding that his courage, resilience and commitment to the country remained worthy of recognition.

“Your remarkable journey in the service of Nigeria, marked by courage, resilience and an enduring commitment to the nation, remains a significant chapter in our country’s history,” Mark said.

He congratulated the former Military President on attaining the milestone and prayed for his continued good health, wisdom and many more years of peace and fulfilment.

Ogbeha, in his message, also warmly congratulated Babangida, expressing appreciation for his leadership, guidance and enduring example of service to the nation.

“I warmly felicitate with you, Sir, on the occasion of your 85th birthday.

“I remain deeply grateful for your leadership, guidance and enduring example of service to our great nation,” Ogbeha said.

The two former senators urged Babangida to continue to make his wealth of experience and wisdom available to the nation, particularly by providing guidance and counsel to Nigeria’s leadership.

They wished the former Military President many more years of good health, peace and fulfilment.
