The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Print Media, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, has said the growing wave of politicians defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is a clear endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and the direction of his administration.

Speaking at a rally of APC supporters in Fagge, Kano, Abdulaziz said the defections cut across party lines and geopolitical zones, reflecting what he described as the President’s inclusive approach to governance.

According to him, no political party in Nigeria today embodies national unity more than the APC. He noted that several governors from the South-South have already aligned with the ruling party, while the APC continues to gain ground in the South-East, with more defections expected.

Abdulaziz also dismissed the relevance of a newly formed opposition coalition, stressing that none of its members is a sitting governor, a development he said underscores the APC’s growing dominance.

Highlighting key achievements of the Tinubu administration, he pointed to ongoing road and rail projects across the country, the payment of compensation to communities affected by infrastructure development, and the introduction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a production-side subsidy aimed at reducing transportation costs.

He cited the Sokoto–Badagry dual carriageway, alongside extensive road construction in northern states such as Kano, Niger and Katsina, as clear evidence of the government’s commitment to nationwide development.

“The reforms being implemented by President Tinubu are focused on long-term economic stability and shared prosperity,” Abdulaziz said, adding that many Nigerians are beginning to feel the positive impact of governance.

He concluded by describing the APC as the strongest platform for national unity, progress and sustainable development, and urged Nigerians to continue supporting President Tinubu’s reform agenda.
