The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially announced the approved 2026 Hajj fare of ₦7,696,769.76 (Seven Million, Six Hundred and Ninety-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-Nine Naira, Seventy-Six Kobo), following the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) after due consultations.
Confirming the development, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, stated that the new fare applies to all intending pilgrims from Kano State.
According to him, pilgrims who had previously deposited ₦8,500,000.00 will receive a refund of ₦803,230.24, while those who paid ₦8,244,813.67 will be refunded ₦548,043.91.
For new applicants, Alhaji Danbappa emphasized that the full payment of ₦7,696,769.76 is required to secure a Hajj slot for the 2026 pilgrimage.
He further disclosed that the deadline for payment is December 5, 2025, in accordance with NAHCON’s directive. The Director General urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments before the deadline to ensure inclusion in the 2026 Hajj exercise.
