The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has recorded a significant political milestone following the affirmation and endorsement of its newly elected State Executive Committee by key stakeholders across the state.
This development was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Leading figures within the party, including Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, congratulated the newly elected executives. They described their emergence as a decisive step toward strengthening unity, stability, and internal cohesion within the party in Kano.
The leaders commended party members for conducting what they termed a peaceful and transparent congress, noting that the outcome reflects the collective will and democratic spirit of APC supporters throughout the state.
Prominent stakeholders such as Murtala Sule Garo, Tijjani Gwarzo, and Abba Kabir Bichi, alongside other party chieftains, pledged their unwavering support to the new State Executive Committee. They emphasized the urgent need for reconciliation, cooperation, and collective responsibility to reposition the APC for future electoral victories in Kano State.
According to the stakeholders, the unity displayed during the affirmation process signals a renewed sense of purpose and determination within the party. They urged the newly elected executives to promote inclusiveness, fairness, and transparency in managing party affairs, while ensuring that no member is left behind.
“The unity shown today demonstrates that the APC in Kano State is ready to move forward as one family,” the statement noted.
