There was heavy security presence at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Monday as armed operatives took over the venue for the official reception of Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Security personnel, including members of the armed forces and other agencies, were strategically stationed in and around the stadium to ensure order during the high-profile event.
Major roads leading to the stadium were heavily controlled, with vehicular movement restricted close to the venue.
Many attendees were asked to alight from their vehicles and trek a considerable distance to gain access to the stadium premises.
Despite the tight security measures, operatives were observed conducting their duties in an orderly and professional manner.
Visitors were ushered in calmly, with security officials guiding and directing them peacefully to designated entry points.
The stadium witnessed an unprecedented turnout, as large crowds thronged the venue in an attempt to gain entrance.
The premises were jam-packed, with supporters and party faithful struggling to secure space inside the facility.
The reception ceremony marks a significant political development in Kano State, drawing widespread attention across the state and beyond.
