The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa (APC, Niger East), has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians in Kano State and across Nigeria, urging citizens to embrace unity, peace, and religious tolerance.
In a statement issued to journalists in Kano on Wednesday, Senator Musa called on Christians to use the Christmas season as a time to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ, particularly the values of love, sacrifice, peace, and compassion.
He encouraged Nigerians to renew their commitment to principles that foster peaceful coexistence and strengthen national unity, noting that harmony among people of different faiths and ethnic backgrounds is vital for the country’s stability and progress.
According to the senator, unity among Nigerians remains critical to building a safer, more prosperous, and inclusive nation. He stressed that sustained collaboration between Christians, Muslims, and adherents of other religions is essential for national development.
Senator Musa further emphasized that mutual respect and religious tolerance are key drivers of peace and progress in Nigeria.
He concluded by wishing Christians a Merry Christmas and all Nigerians a prosperous New Year filled with peace, joy, and renewed hope.
